PR and
lobbying
Behind the scenes we do a lot of lobbying for all immi-grants to Canada:
We send out information to leaders of the provincial and the federal agencies
and to the Press in Canada, pointing out the valuable committments of
Newcomers to Canada and their knowledge and skills, their contribution
to the Canadian Economy and the Canadian labour force.
Volunteering
with us
Volunteering
is a good way to achieve the so-called "Canadian Experience"
de-manded by many employ-ers. We offer a variety of vo-lunteer jobs.
Take a advantage of a possi-bility to get a favourable re-ference, that
cannot only used for your applications but also when looking for a house
or to get credit when buying a car or for you land-lord when you are renting
a new home.

Internationally
trained teachers
If you are a teacher
from another country or a teacher who has received teacher training in
another country, Teach in Ontario can help you becomeeligible to teach
in this province. In addition to helping you through the
process of becoming a teacher in Ontario, Teach in Ontario offers services
that will help make your job search and your transition to teaching in
Ontario as simple as possible.
Although many schools in Ontario are currently expe-riencing a teacher
shortage in certain subject areas, there are also thousands of
internationally trained teachers (ITTs) like you who are close to being
able
to teach here but who are not yet certified in Ontario. Teach in Ontario
allows our school system to benefit from your training and expe-rience
by giving you the support and the information you need to become certi-fied
and to find a teaching job. It is important that Ontario's teachers come
from a diverse range of backgrounds, just like its students.
